Founded in 1987 by John Slack, Sandiacre Coal and Logs has been proudly serving the local community for nearly four decades. Built on strong family values, honest service, and quality products, we’ve become a trusted name for solid fuels across the region, originally specialising in house coal for many years.

For over three decades, house coal was at the heart of what we did. However, following the UK government's ban on traditional house coal in 2020, we’ve adapted and evolved, just as any long standing business should. Today, under the leadership of Richard Slack, the second generation of the family, we now focus on more eco-friendly and sustainable heating solutions.

Our current range includes kiln dried or seasoned, responsibly sourced hardwood logs and high performance smokeless coal, designed to deliver efficient heat while being cleaner for both your home and the environment. Whether you're using a log burner, multi-fuel stove or open fire, we supply quality fuels you can rely on.
